教师介绍:Professor Fevzi Okumus received his PhD in Strategic Hotel Management at Oxford Brookes University. From 2007-2013, he was the founding chair of the Hospitality Services Department at the University of Central Floridas Rosen College of Hospitality Management. He worked in the hotel industry. He held managerial positions in the hospitality industry and worked as a consultant on strategic projects for several hospitality and tourism companies. His teaching areas include strategic management, leadership development, hotel management and international hospitality management. His main research areas include strategy implementation, change management, competitive advantage, learning organizations, crisis management, cross-cultural management, destination marketing and developing countries. He has widely published in leading journals, including Annals of Tourism Research, Service Industries Journal, Tourism Management, Management Decision, International Journal of Hospitality Management and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management. He has over 165 academic publications (62 refereed journal articles, three books, 11 book chapters, numerous conference papers, presentations, reports etc.). Prof. Okumus serves on the editorial board of 14 international academic journals. He is the Editor of the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (IJCHM), which is one of the top-tier SCCI journals in the hospitality field with an impact factor of 1.266.

课程介绍:This course emphasizes the development of leadership, analytical decision-making, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.  It aims to provide an in-depth knowledge of leadership and strategic management into the hospitality and tourism context. It particularly aims to provide the big picture of leading and managing hospitality and tourism organizations.
